Sierra Skies RV Park is located between the towering Sierra Buttes and the north fork of the Yuba River in historic Sierra City. The river runs through the park property with one of the best and deepest swimming holes on the north fork, a favorite hangout for guests. A short walk from Sierra Skies is the town center with several restaurants, an old saloon with live local entertainment, a general store for basic supplies, and a gold mining history museum. Bassetts, the gateway to the Lake Basin Recreation Area, is just five miles up Highway 49. There you will find a gas station, a restaurant, and camping and fishing supplies, plus a good selection of delicious hand-scooped ice cream. With so much to offer and explore, this pristine area of the Northern Sierras is a perfect place to set up camp.
